Back in 1939 the Baptist Church of Fairfax and
the Methodist Church of Fairfax decided to merge
(the merger letter, signed by S William Webb can
be read at our website www.gbgm-umc.org/fairfaxvt)
to form one faith community,
the United Church of Fairfax.
Part of the merger agreement required that
ministerial leadership rotate between each
denomination.
Another part of the agreement involves the use of
the Baptist Church Building for worship annually.
Thus, each July, the congregation of the United
Church of Fairfax worships at the stately
Baptist Church Building on Main Street.
The time of worship remains the same: 10:45.
As always, we always welcome new folks to our fellowship.
** Four Columns Food Shelf at the
Baptist Church Building, Main Street,
Fairfax is open from 9-12 on the first two
Wednesdays of the month.
It is supported by various local organizations.

Passage of the Day
Genesis 1:1-4
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness."
